Metal Flowers Media
From selling candles on Venice Beach to slinging drinks behind the bar at Saddle Ranch, Kristi Russell has always been in close contact with colorful characters. During those sun-splashed days and tequila-soaked nights (when she wasn't finding creative ways to scrape together enough sticky pennies to pay rent), Russell was unknowingly accruing a critical eye for talent - an informal education would suit her well later at her "real job". And sure enough, when the Ramen ran out, Russell moved on to Rocket Science Laboratories and spent seven years honing her prowess for identifying talent, moving up the ranks of casting, story producing, and development while working on top-rated series like Joe Millionaire, Big Fat Obnoxious Fiancé, and Trading Spouses. By the end of her tenure, as Director of Talent Development, Russell led a team of casting and development professionals and had sparked the interest of several networks.
Strengthened and motivated by that experience, Russell confidently planted the seeds of Metal Flowers Media in early 2008. The company quickly blossomed into the casting and talent resource for unscripted projects. Known throughout the industry for delivering fresh, untapped talent for series, development projects, sizzle reels and pilots, Metal Flowers Media services the best in the business, including Discovery, History, NBC, ABC, Spike, Nat Geo, ITV, Shine America, Kinetic Content, Fremantle, Eyeworks, Renegade 83, and World of Wonder, among many others.
With hundreds of credits and a slate of development projects currently being set up, Kristi Russell and her team at Metal Flowers Media have pioneered cutting-edge casting and talent strategies and continue to forge new ground in the world of unscripted, talent-driven programming.
