Chris Dorsey, Founding Partner of Denver-based Dorsey Pictures (previously Orion Entertainment), is a longtime industry executive with over 1500 hours of programming at Dorsey Pictures, including 150+ hours leading the frontier movement in Alaska-centric programming and a thriving branded entertainment division that will celebrate its 15-year anniversary in March 2016. With a keen eye for producing television series that reflect current popular lifestyle trends, Dorsey Pictures is consistently one of the nation’s leading production companies with 23 unscripted series airing on 11 networks with numerous other pilots in production. Dorsey also focuses on creating “co-viewing” programs that are of interest to male and female viewers rather than catering to only one demographic.
Recent pick ups and renewals of numerous programs include Tiny House Big Living (season 2 for HGTV), Living Big Sky (season 2 for HGTV), Mega Decks (season 2 for DIY), The Treehouse Guys (season 2 for DIY), Building Alaska (season 6 and 7 for DIY), Into Alaska (new series for Travel Channel), Brotherhood (pilot for A&E), Maine Cabin Hunters (new series for DIY), Alaska’s Wilderness Gourmet and Beast Rangers (new series for Outdoor Channel) and Ultimate Bush Pilots (series renewal for Outdoor Channel).
