Betsy LeBlanc, Director, PBS International has more than 20 years of broadcast sales and marketing experience. LeBlanc helped to launch the division as WGBH International in 1997 has played an instrumental role in the successful growth of the company, which includes the representation of such notable filmmakers as Stanley Nelson, Alex Gibney, Michael Kirk, Robert Stone, and Ken Burns.
Throughout her years with the division, LeBlanc handled both marketing and sales responsibilities until assuming her current mantle which combines the strengths of those complementary roles. In her senior management position she is responsible for the direction and implementation of sales and marketing strategies for the division as well as the day to day management of sales to the United States, United Kingdom, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and Africa.
Prior to WGBH, LeBlanc spent many years in marketing, station support, production and public relations a tThe Christian Science Monitor’s radio division,Monitor Radio;several prominent Boston public relations firms; Monitor Television and CBS News.
