Olivia de Courson serves as Director of Series Development for MTV where she is responsible for developing unscripted series as well as overseeing series with production for the network. Her goal is to identify unique and original content that pushes the boundaries of music and entertainment. De Courson’s credits include The Almost Impossible Game Show and MTV’s Suspect, as well as several other unannounced projects premiering next year.
Before jumping to the network side, De Courson served as Director of Development at Shed Media where she developed unscripted concepts and sold presentations and pilots to all major networks including TLC, Bravo and Lifetime. Prior to joining Shed Media, De Courson served as Director of Development for Go Go Luckey Entertainment. During her tenure, she helped set up projects at nearly every cable outlet, and developed Raising McCain on PIVOT, Loredana Esq. on Sundance Channel, and Immortalized on AMC.
De Courson attended San Diego State University and received her B.A. in Film, Television, and New Media with an emphasis in Critical Studies.
