David Davoli is a partner in the New York City based law firm, Davoli Davids, LLP, and has spent the last nine years focused on film, television, publishing and new media transactions. In addition to having worked as production, finance or distribution counsel on over 40 independent film, television and new media programs, David has a keen knowledge of independently financed television for the international marketplace. David also represents high profile authors in major studio book-to-film and book-to-television acquisitions, factual programming producers in the development and sale of their reality television programs to major television networks, as well as the representation of some of new media’s fastest rising stars in micro content deals. David began his career in the entertainment industry in 1994 working for actor Alec Baldwin and later spent several years producing off-Broadway theater. Prior to opening his practice as an entertainment attorney, David spent five years representing clients in commercial business, M&A, real estate, trusts and estates, licensing and merchandising transactions as well as managing over one hundred civil and commercial litigation cases. David studied journalism and mass communication at St. Bonaventure University and earned his JD from Brooklyn Law School. David is admitted to the bars of New York and California and is a member of the New York and California Bar Associations.
In addition to the practice of law, David is training to draw and paint the human figure at Chelsea Classical Studio in the atelier of classically trained painter and portraitist, Brandon Soloff.
