Dan Cesareo, Founder and President of Big Fish Entertainment, is one of the most innovative and creative executives in the unscripted business. From VH1’s hit franchise Black Ink Crew to the A&E’s groundbreaking series Live PD, from the critically acclaimed Bomb Patrol: Afghanistan to TLC’s DC Cupcakes - expect the unexpected. Since launching Big Fish in 2006, the company has produced hundreds of hours of programming for networks including: VH1, A&E, TLC, Discovery, WE, Esquire, National Geographic, Planet Green, Travel Channel, Smithsonian Network, and G4.
Currently, Cesareo oversees all facets of production and development at Big Fish, which has 7 unscripted series airing and numerous other pilots and programs in production. Through Dan’s leadership the company has more than doubled in size over the last couple years and is one of the fastest growing indies in the business.
Prior to Big Fish Entertainment, Cesareo worked for National Geographic Television and Film where he developed and produced a variety of programs and films. Before joining National Geographic, Cesareo served as a freelance producer on programs for Discovery Channel, TLC, Travel Channel, and Voom HD networks. An avid surfer, you can find Cesareo scouring the planet for the perfect wave when he’s not at home with his wife and two children in Montclair, New Jersey.
