Margaret Ebrahim, who goes by her nickname “Mishi,” is an award-winning producer, journalist, writer and storyteller.  She’s had the great honor of working with some of the most successful and innovative media organizations including National Geographic, CBS 60 Minutes and ABC News as well as The Center for Public Integrity and Investigative Reporting Workshop.

Ebrahim is the PBS Senior Director of News & Public Affairs in general audience programming. Before joining PBS, Ebrahim helped re-launch National Geographic’s Explorer documentary series as well as developed new digital video series for the media organization. Ebrahim was a producer for the groundbreaking SHOWTIME climate change series Years of Living Dangerously (Season 1), executive produced by James Cameron and Jerry Weintraub, and winner of the 2014 Emmy Award for outstanding nonfiction series.  As senior producer at the Investigative Reporting Workshop, a nonprofit journalism organization in Washington D.C., Ebrahim oversaw television, web and feature film projects, including co-productions with PBS FRONTLINE.
