Athlete Content & Entertainment (ACE Media) is led by CEO Scott Langerman, a 20-year veteran of the sports and entertainment industries who has held senior positions at Comcast SportsNet and Turner Broadcasting, among other media companies. Prior to joining ACE Media, Langerman was an executive and advisor at SB Nation (now Vox Media), joining the company in its earliest stage and helping set the strategy for what would become one of the world’s fastest-growing and most successful new media companies.
As the content arm of the NFL Players Association, Langerman has helped build ACE Media into a highly efficient media company that maximizes opportunities for programmers, publishers, brands, leagues and players to engage with audiences amidst a rapidly changing media landscape. ACE delivers unrivaled access to develop and package athlete-driven sports-lifestyle content projects for all media platforms, and offers full-service production capabilities. The company is also leveraging the NFLPA’s exclusive group player rights and access to 2,000 active players to produce content focused on athletes, whom fans would otherwise know only through their statistics and game highlights.
Since launching a year ago, ACE has produced, created or facilitated more than 1,000 unique content projects featuring more than 750 athletes from a variety of sports. ACE Media also collaborated with 20 different media and sports companies to create content for distribution across television, digital, social and mobile. Among the content highlights of ACE Media’s first year are Catching Kelce (E!), Trading Playlists (Spotify), Take It To The House (Bleacher Report), The Players Voice Awards (NBPA) and Branding U (Lorne Michaels/Above Average).
Projects currently in development include several scripted and unscripted television projects for broadcast and cable, a variety of short-form digital series and a host of branded content initiatives.
