Tom Farrell has 26 years of television production experience, having spent the past fourteen years in television executive management.
Since 2007, Tom, has presided over the strategic planning and day-to-day operations of The WorkShop. Tom has lead The WorkShop through a period of rapid and exciting growth. The Haney Project is among the highest rated shows in Golf Channel history, features Hank Haney, Tiger Woods’ former coach, helping celebrities improve in the sport of golf. Charles Barkley, Ray Romano, Rush Limbaugh, Adam Levine, and Olympic champion Michael Phelps have been some of Haney’s students in the series. Under his leadership, The Workshop has produced videos, commercials, and webisodes for many organizations including Amazon, Golf Channel, The Blaze TV, HISTORY, Discovery, A&E, Disney, Kodak, Villanova University, HGTV.com, MindShare Entertainment and CondeNast.
Prior to becoming President of The WorkShop, LLC, Tom was the Chief Operating Officer for Banyan Productions, Inc. In his role at Banyan Productions, Tom helped oversee 300+ employees and the production of nearly 20 network television series – many of which were long-running.
Tom’s career as a producer spans the reality and sports programming genres. Tom was the executive producer of TLC’s Trading Spaces and Trading Spaces: Family. Tom was responsible for budgeting, creating, planning and directing both shows’ content and overall look. Tom also served as Executive Producer of a Trading Spaces special that remains the highest rated special in the history of the network with almost 8 million viewers.
Tom has served as Executive Producer for cable network programs such as A Makeover Story,A Baby Story and The Things We Do For Love.
