Lifetime

Liz Gateley was named Executive Vice President, Head of Programming, of Lifetime in April 2015. Based in New York, she oversees all content creation for Lifetime, including the network’s movies, scripted series and non-fiction teams responsible for delivering 400 hours of original programming each year.

Prior to joining Lifetime, Gateley was Co-Founder, with partner Tony DiSanto, of DiGa (part of ITV), a full-service production company they established in 2011. While at DiGa, Gateley and DiSanto executive produced MTV’s hit drama Teen Wolf and shepherded such successful reality series for the network as Kesha: My Crazy Beautiful Life, as well as the Oxygen series Player Gets Played. Most recently, she was in the process of adapting the hit feature film Scream into a series for MTV.

Before launching DiGa, Gateley worked at MTV as Head of Series Development in New York. In her first year there, she created the game-changing reality show Laguna Beach and developed and executive produced its hit spinoffs The Hills and The City. Other smashes during her tenure included Teen Mom, 16 & Pregnant, Ridiculousness, Jersey Shore and America's Best Dance Crew, among many others. While at MTV, she also brought scripted series back to the network, and developed Teen Wolf, Awkward and The Hard Times of RJ Berger.

Gateley, who received a degree in Economics/Business from UCLA and a Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School, started her career in the William Morris Agency’s famed mailroom before moving into program development at Lifetime, where she developed both scripted and reality projects.
