Amanda Groom is founder and MD of strategic, global advisory company, The Bridge. The company identifies and develops TV productionbridgingmarkets traditionally defined as east and west - resulting in outstanding programming for world-leading, international broadcasters.

The Bridge specialises in co-productions, incubating new IP and creative opportunities, amplifying east-west advantage, delivering funding, access and securing worldwide commissioning partners.

An award-winning international film and TV producer and channel executive with 20 years' experience, Groom has led TV, film and digital commercial initiatives maximising audiences and returning positive financial results to multiple stake holders, with full P&L responsibility to Board level.

Amanda’s decade-long engagement with North East Asia and ASEAN have given her the inside track in the world’s fastest-growing TV and film markets. The Bridge has successfully built and delivered multiple innovative pan Asian / UK / US global co-production models working with, amongst others, ITV, Foxtel, Scripps Networks’ Food Network EMEA, Cooking Channel US, UKTV, Foxtel; MBC and SBS in Korea and Thai PBS and PPTV, Thailand.

The Bridge works across multiple genres including in special factual, factual, formats, documentaries, drama and film.

Amanda serves as Board Advisor / NED and is a member of the British Screen Advisory Council. She is a former UK / Australian Media-Business Woman of the Year finalist and holdsFriend of Australiastatus for Media Thought Leadership. She is a frequent panel moderator, mentor and pitch doctor for MIP/ MIPcom; SunnySide & Asian Side & WiFTV. The Bridge has a hub in London whilst working closely with partner companies across Asia including in Korea, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.

Amanda's former roles include MD of Channel Health, SKY UK ( both B2B and B2C channels ) and Head of Content, PCCW/IMG JVNetwork of the World. Amanda has worked with numerous broadcasters and production companies international including with Sony Pictures Television International, CNBC, TWI & IMG / PCCW, BBC, Pearson Television, National Geographic Channels, SKY UK and in Australia with Channel 9, Network TEN and ABC TV Documentaries.
