The Realscreen Summit is over for another year. The 13th edition attracted a record-breaking 1,500 delegates from around the world &#8211; an 18 per cent increase over 2010.<br />
Highlights from this yearâ€™s Summit included an inspirational opening day keynote from Mark Burnett; an exclusive interview with Lisa Erspamer, chief creative officer of OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network by Lisa Ling;  and an interactive Big Picture Town Hall event with Peter Liguori, COO of Discovery Communications, and Nancy Dubuc, president and general manager of History and Lifetime Networks.<br />
Thanks to our delelgates and sponsors and particularly the <a href="http://summit.realscreen.com/2011/advisoryboard.html">advisory board </a>helmed by Dubuc and Howard T. Owens, Managing Director, Reveille.<br />
Next <em>realscreen</em> heads to Santa Monica for the<a href="http://factualentertainment.com"> Factual Entertainment Forum</a> and the <a href="http://awards.realscreen.com/">Factual Entertainment Awards</a>, which take place at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel from June 1-2. <p>The man behind such shows as <em>Survivor,</em> <em>The Apprentice</em>, <em>Are You Smarter Than a 5<sup>th</sup> Grader?</em> and the <em>MTV Movie Awards</em> will reflect upon the evolution of his business, some of the challenges heâ€™s faced in a remarkably successful career and share some of his thoughts on what lies ahead for unscripted programming globally.</p>
<p>Since 2001, Burnettâ€™s shows have garnered a total of 67 Emmy nominations including two wins for best reality series and one win for outstanding lifestyle program, along with four Peopleâ€™s Choice Awards, for favorite reality series. Burnett has been named one of the most influential people in the world by <em>Time</em> magazine and named <em>TV Guide</em>â€™s most valuable player. He has won <em>Brandweek</em>â€™s Marketer of the Year Award, the Banff Rockie Award in the sports program category, The Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Award, and the prestigious Rose dâ€™Or FRAPA Format Award. In 2007, Burnett was inducted into the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame. In July of 2009, Burnett was honored by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2010, Burnett received the Norman Lear Achievement Award from the Producers Guild of America and was the first inductee into <em>realscreenâ€™sÂ <a href="http://awards.realscreen.com/">Factual Entertainment Forum&#8217;s</a> </em>Hall of Fame. Â He has also served on the board of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts and is a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.Â </p>

Schiffman leads all functions of NGC, including programming, commissioning of global content, marketing, ad sales and digital media. During his tenure, NGC has added a sister network with the successful launch of Nat Geo WILD in the U.S., and has seen its momentum grow across all metrics, establishing new records for ratings and revenue, despite the recent economic downturn. </p>

As President &#038; General Manager, <strong>A&#038;E Network &#038; BIO Channel</strong>, <a href="http://summit.realscreen.com/2011/advisoryboard.html?a=607098"><strong>Robert DeBitetto</strong></a>, manages a portfolio of cable networks including the flagship A&#038;E Network, BIO (formerly The Biography Channel) and the Crime &#038; Investigation Network, where he oversees all creative and business matters including programming, marketing, P&#038;L management, strategic planning, brand development, acquisitions, web content and public relations.<br />
<a href="http://summit.realscreen.com/2011/advisoryboard.html?a=562582"><strong>Stephen Lambert</strong></a>, Chief Executive,<strong> Studio Lambert </strong>is one of Britainâ€™s best known creative television executives, responsible for creating award-winning documentary formats such as<em> Faking It, Secret Millionaire </em>and<em> Wife Swap</em>. His most recent hit format is <em>Undercover Boss</em>, which he is producing for Channel 4 in the UK and for CBS in the States, where it has achieved phenomenal ratings success.<br />
<strong><a href="http://summit.realscreen.com/2011/advisoryboard.html?a=657059">Peter Liguori</a></strong>, COO, <strong>Discovery Communications</strong>, provides leadership and vision for the company&#8217;s operational organizations, including marketing, Discovery Studios, corporate communications and corporate affairs, business affairs, and media technology, production and operations, as well as playing a key role in corporate budget and business decisions. He also chairs Discovery&#8217;s Content Committee comprised of U.S. Networks general managers with a focus on maximizing the value of the company&#8217;s marketing resources, network portfolio and overall corporate assets. He also serves as the lead executive representing Discovery Communications in its joint ventures with Hasbro, Inc., OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network, and the Discovery-Sony-IMAX 3D channel.<br />

Jeanne has specialized in helping international clients enter the U.S. television market. Some of Jeanneâ€™s non-scripted production company clients include Endemol (<em>Big Brother, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Deal Or No Deal, Wipeout</em>); Ryan Seacrest Productions and Reveille (<em>The Biggest Loser, The Office, Ugly Betty</em>), who Jeanne reps along with Craig Jacobson; Shine Limited and The Magical Elves (<em>Project Runway, Top Chef</em>). With these clients and others, she has helped create new business models in a new business.<br />

He has been instrumental in acquiring, developing and overseeing such hits as<em> Dancing with the Stars, Wipeout, The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Extreme Makeover </em>and <em>The Mole</em>, among many others.<br />
