Peter is co-executive producer of A Shot to Save the World, a bio doc on Jonas Salk that features Bill Gates and was supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. A Shot premiered on the Smithsonian Channel in October 2013.
Since 1987, his New York-based firmPeter Hamilton Consultants Inc. has helped television professionals to plan and execute their business strategies.
His clients have included: BBC, Nat Geo Channel, Scripps Networks, A+E Networks, Canal +, NBC, Weather, CBC Canada, Singapore’s MDA, Wildlife Conservation Society and many other leading corporations, government agencies and non-profits.
Notably, he served as senior consultant on the launch of Discovery’s international channels, helping create an enterprise now valued at US$12 billion.
Peter is the founder and editor of DocumentaryTelevision.com, a leading e-newsletter that analyzes the business of the unscripted television business.
He served as an executive with CBS Enterprises after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania (MBA) and Melbourne University.
