Debbie Myers heads the business and creative charge for Science Channel. Under her tenure, the network has enjoyed 19 consecutive quarters of year-over-year ratings growth, and its reach has more than doubled to 80 million U.S. households and another 100 million worldwide.
Myers has developed a number of successful programs that meld science, fiction and popular culture – making Science Channel the creative playground for smart, lean forward entertainment. The network is now home to the brilliant minds of Morgan Freeman, Steven Spielberg, William Hurt, Ridley Scott, Ricky Gervais and Dr. Michio Kaku – who all share a passion for creating provocative programming that challenges viewers to think while being entertained.
Myers joined Discovery Communications in 2005 as vice president of production and later as senior vice president of production and development at TLC. Prior, Myers led her own production company, and was instrumental in launching several cable networks including Oxygen and E!, where she created and ran 17 signature series including the Emmy Award-winning Talk Soup with Greg Kinnear and E! News.
