When it comes to programming about people doing very, very bad things, the numbers can be very, very good. Cable channels dealing in crime programming are citing incredible growth, and the content, much like a fugitive who also happens to be a master of disguise, can travel exceptionally well across borders. Here, producers, programmers and distributors of top factual crime programming will investigate why it's working, who's watching, and what elevates a non-fiction crime show to "Most Wanted" status.

The agenda for the 2015 edition Realscreen Summit is now live. Here's a peek at one of the keynote sessions we have on tap.
We now find ourselves in a world where "flat is the new up", where cord cutters and cord nevers are growing in number, and little ol' super-indies are becoming broadcaster-owned mega-indies, What does all this change mean for content creators, programmers and distributors? In a session that could be subtitled "How I Learned to Love Disruption", top level executives will weigh in on how the major disruptors impacting the unscripted industry (and beyond) are shaping their strategies, and debate and discuss the new visions that will innovate and invigorate the content industry.

The agenda for 2015 edition Realscreen Summit will be revealed later this week. In the meantime here's a teaser of the content delegates can look forward to.
With character-led reality still going strong in the U.S., and more and more nets entering the unscripted arena, the demand for content and casts that cut through the clutter is higher than ever. Thus, the development process has evolved, with new players, and new responsibilities and requirements for those involved. In this session, you'll hear from producers, network execs, casting companies and others who are in the trenches, digging for - and developing - unscripted gold, and learn how they're doing it.
