Genre Director, Factual Entertainment, Entertainment & Formats
As Genre Director for Factual Entertainment and Entertainment, Tracy is in charge of BBC Worldwide's content investment strategy for Factual Entertainment and Entertainment globally, managing and curating the content programming slate, as well as commissioning content to support the roll-out of the BBC global channels BBC Brit and BBC Earth internationally.
She oversees content acquisitions and co-productions across the factual entertainment, entertainment and format genres globally. She sets the original commissioning strategy for BBC Worldwide Channels BBC Brit and BBC Earth and manages BBC Worldwide's Channels Commissioning team to produce returnable factual entertainment series. Recent commissions include: Stupidman, Smartphone; Fishing Impossible, Ice Town: Living on the Edge; Motorheads.
Tracy is also overall responsible for the BBC Worldwide formats' strategy and oversees format relationships across existing global TV hits such as Top Gear, Dancing with the Stars and The Great British Bake Off as well as new programme titles such as You're Back in the Room and The Getaway Car.
In addition, she is responsible for establishing creative partnerships with independent producers through equity or distribution deals.
Tracy joined BBC Worldwide in 2012 as Vice President, Commissioning, Content. Tracy structured the commissioning department and strategy for original production for BBC Worldwide Channels, commissioning fully funded series for the BBC Worldwide international channel portfolio and co-productions between BBC Worldwide channels and BBC Public Service channels. Commissions included: Best in Town; Million Dollar Intern; Rachel Khoo's Kitchen Notebook.
