Mike Suggett is the head of content strategy and programming for MotorTrend Group, responsible for content development, production and programming for the MotoTrend App, MotorTrend TV and the MotorTrend YouTube channel. MotorTrend Group is a joint venture with Discovery and reaches more than 131 million fans every month across its portfolio of media properties.
Suggett is a creative executive with more than 13 years of experience in original programming development and production, cross-platform content strategy and integrated video marketing solutions. At MotorTrend, he plays a key role in the production and development of hit series including Roadkill, Dirt Every Day, Hot Rod Garage and the forthcoming Top Gear America (wt).
Suggett’s recent accolades include amin Magazine Media Award – Automotive Marketing Campaign of the Year for MotorTrend’s Genesis of the Genesis branded content and integrated marketing campaign, Adweek Media Plan of the Year - Best Use of Branded Content for MotorTrend’s hit series Roadkill, as well as a Cannes Cyber Lion for MotorTrend’s reality series Built From Ebay.
Prior to MotorTrend Group, he held various positions at E! Entertainment Television and at Eye Candy Post, and has directed marketing and promotional campaigns for Toyota/Scion and Acura.
Suggett graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is based out of MotorTrend Group’s global headquarters in Los Angeles.
