Jennifer McGovern is the Senior Vice President of Development and Original Content at Fuse Media where she is responsible for oversight of all facets of content development and production for the network, as well as the generation of new original content strategies. She is in charge of identifying new material, partners and opportunities for long-form and digital original programming for Fuse Media’s diverse content platforms. A seasoned entertainment executive, she has shepherded a string of successful series at Fuse including T-Pain’s School of Business, Complex x Fuse, The Read, Hollywood Puppet Show, Hip Hop Houdini and animated series Sugar & Toys.
Prior to Fuse, McGovern was the Head of East Coast Development at VH1, leading the development team and overseeing all original unscripted programming including Black Ink Crew Chicago, Safeword, VH1 Live! Previously she was Director of Development & Production, Original Programming for Comcast NBC Universal’s Oxygen Media, working on such series as The Glee Project, I’m Having Their Baby, Funny Girls, Player Gets Played, Finding My Father and Nail’d It! Prior to Oxygen, McGovern was Manager of Alternative Series at TLC, working on Sarah Palin’s Alaska, Say Yes to the Dress, What Not to Wear, Ultimate Cake Off, Miss America Live!, Brace For Impact: The Chesley B. Sullenberger Story, and Police Women Of Broward County. Earlier she worked as Manager of Development at Fox TV Studios. McGovern started her career as a Page in the NBC Page Program.
