Nicole Vogel is Vice President of Unscripted Programming & Development at Lifetime, part of the A&E Networks group. She is based in NYC where she works with production companies, agencies, and potential talent to find, develop, and produce new unscripted formats, docuseries, and specials. Projects she has executive produced for Lifetime include Surviving R. Kelly: The Impact, Beyond the Headlines: Escaping the NXIVM Cult, Beyond the Headlines: The College Admissions Scandal, and Beyond the Headlines: The Watts Family Tragedy.
She most recently worked at WE tv, an AMC Network, where she developed and executive produced Extreme Love as well as Love After Lockup, which Nielsen reported as the fastest-growing new cable series of 2018.
Prior to WE tv, she served as senior director of development at Optomen Productions where she worked on the development of series and specials for Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, MTV, Destination America, and Investigation Discovery as well as pilots and development projects for a variety of networks such as Food Network, A&E, Oxygen, and Fox.
Before Optomen, Nicole served as manager of talent development and casting for Discovery Networks where she worked across Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, Investigation Discovery, Destination America, and Discovery Fit&Health to discover and develop new talent, cast for both current and new series, and manage current talent. She cast lead talent for such long-running series as Discovery Channel’s Dual Survival and Animal Planet’s Finding Bigfoot, among others.
Nicole began her career at Headline Media Management, a boutique talent representation firm specializing in news, hosting, experts, and sports. While at HMM, Nicole worked as an independent casting director, casting various scripted projects in the NYC area.
Nicole graduated Summa Cum Laude from George Washington University Honors Program with a major in Communications and minor in Theater.
