Cara Casey serves as YouTube Originals Unscripted Development Lead. In her role, she is responsible for both development and current programs for the platform. Since joining in 2016, she has overseen projects such as record breaking Justin Bieber's Season, David Blaine's Ascension, Shay Mitchell's Almost ReadyDude Perfect's Backstage Pass, Good Mythical Morning, Demi Lovato Simply Complicated, Ariana Grande Dangerous Woman Diaries, and many more. 

Prior to YouTube, Cara worked at FremantleMedia North America’s (FMNA) as Vice President where she did development and production of reality competition, game show and other unscripted television programming. During her time at FMNA, Cara played a key role in the development and launch of series such as To Tell the Truth and The Noise.

Cara also served as Vice President of Development and Programming at Wilshire Studios. While there, she focused on developing new series, as well as overseeing current production. She oversaw series such as The Soup (E!) and Fashion Police (E!), as well as Baggage (GSN), and Sex with Brody (E!). In addition, Cara sold numerous pilots to USA, A&E, Food Network, VH1, AMC, MTV, Bravo, Syfy, Oxygen, and Sundance.

Cara was previously an executive at Sony Pictures Television where she developed various pilots, and oversaw production for series including Shark Tank (ABC), The Sing Off (NBC), Plain Jane (CW), Summer Camp (USA) and the syndicated The Queen Latifah Show.

Prior to joining Sony, Caraproduced over 500 hours of programming in a wide variety of genres and has won two Daytime Emmy Awards. Some of her credits include: Secret Millionaire (ABC), Jessica Simpson: Price of Beauty (VH1), Trading Spouses (FOX), LaLa Land (Showtime), THS (E!) and the Rachel Ray talk show. In addition, Casey also collaborated on Bill Maher’s Religulous and Sacha Baron Cohen’s Bruno
