Simon Thomas is executive vice president of current programming, west coast for ITV America. He oversees the company’s robust slate – encompassing series and specials across six vertical production labels – shepherding the group’s splashy formats and live event programming, while also supervising the creative production teams assigned to all ITV America projects in Los Angeles.
At ITV America, Thomas has overseen and/or executive produced a range of hit series for broadcast and cable networks, as well as streaming platforms – including CBS's Love Island; musical competition The Four and American Gritwith John Cena for FOX; Pawn Stars and Forged in Fire for History; as well as projects for ABC, A&E, Food Network, Facebook Watch, National Geographic, Netflix, NFL Network and TLC, among many others.
Prior to joining the ITV America group – first, as a showrunner for ITV America’s Leftfield Pictures – Thomas had accrued more than a dozen years of experience across all genres of unscripted television, including live, studio, documentary and reality programming. He spent several years at Endemol Australia, where he worked on large format reality hits such as Big Brother and Beauty & The Geek Australia. He also helped develop several shows, while producing smaller projects such as the acclaimed series Last Chance Surgery. He was nominated for an ASTRA award in 2011 for the documentary Aussie Christmas Lights, and also ran tru TV’s Hardcore Pawn at Zodiak.
