Heather Johns currently serves as the Vice President of Talent and Development for the digital brands of Comedy Central, MTV, and VH1.
In this role, Heather is responsible for keeping her finger on the pulse of new faces and formats that can reach the cord cutting, short form consuming generation, Gen Z. Heather has successfully launched a docu format for MTV Digital with Tana Mongeau of MTV’s No Filter: Tana Turns 21, which generated over 39M views, as well as furthering the franchise with the highly anticipated Bretman Rock docuseries coming in February 2021.
Prior to her work at ViacomCBS, Heather served as the Head of Development and VP of Business Development at Kevin Hart’s digital venture, Laugh Out Loud. While at the niche comedy platform, Heather successfully launched comedy defining hits such as Cold as Balls (which has over 120 million views), Kevin Hart’s Lyft Legend, and What the Fit. Heather has previously worked at digital venture Defy Media, and as a talent agent in UTA’S alternative TV Department.
