Anna Geddes joined Travel Channel’s team as a Director of Programming on September 1, 2016.
Geddes is a proven hit maker with a reputation for being one of the industry’s strongest storytellers. She has run popular shows like TLC’s Say Yes to the Dress, Bravo’s Newlyweds: The First Year and Ladies of London and Discovery’s American Treasures. Geddes is a master at directing talent, shooting in the field, perfecting storylines in post and developing breakout show concepts. Her additional producing credits range from Miami Ink, The Rachel Zoe Project and Steven Segal: Lawman to the HBO Family Emmy-winning children’s special, Happy to Be Nappy and Other Stories of Me.
Throughout her career, Geddes has moved fluidly between production and network sides of the business. As Executive Producer and Director of Production at Discovery she was a key creative lead in the launch and oversight of dozens of hits including: Naked & Afraid, American Guns, Dirty Jobs: Down Under and Doomsday Bunkers.
Her breadth of experience, varied credits and personal passion for travel and adventure make her the perfect addition to the Travel Channel programming team. She has already jumped in taking on a Travel Channel staple, Mysteries at the Museum along with the action-packed new show, Everest Air.
Anna received her BA in broadcasting from San Francisco State University and an MFA in Film Production from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
