Nicholas Caprio is Chief Content Officer at Pilgrim Media Group, one of television’s most prolific and successful independent production companies. Over the past 10 years, Caprio has contributed to hundreds of hours of television. Joining Pilgrim Studios in 2012, he has overseen the production of all of Pilgrim’s programs, many of which have given rise to spin-offs, including Bring It! (Lifetime); Fast N Loud and Street Outlaws (Discovery); Wicked Tuna (NatGeo); David Tutera’s CELEBrations (WE tv); and Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s (OWN). He also most recently oversaw Pilgrim’s first foray into live streaming entertainment with the 30-consecutive-day run of Verizon go90’s series The Runner (produced in partnership with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon). Caprio also oversaw the production of the record-setting Discovery Shark Week specials Megalodon: The Monster Shark Lives, Shark of Darkness: Wrath of Submarine and Sharktacular, as well as executive produced the OWN documentaries Lindsay and Michael Sam. He most recently served as Pilgrim’s EVP of Production & Current Programming.
Prior to Pilgrim Studios, Caprio was executive vice president of Gay Rosenthal Productions. He also served as vice president of production for Oxygen Media, and director of West Coast production for VH1. Additional credits include Behind the Music for VH1, TLC’s Little People Big World, Style’s Ruby, and OWN’s The Judds and Why Not with Shania Twain.
