Ari Mark

Co-Founder
Ample Entertainment

Ari Mark is Co-Founder of AMPLE Entertainment, a production company dedicated to hands-on, handcrafted and filmmaker led premium content. Since launching four years ago, the company has produced more than 200 hours of programming including 9 Months with Courteney Cox (Facebook), The Lost Women of NXIVM (ID), Murder in the Heartland (Discovery ID), Cooper’s Treasure with Amblin Entertainment (Discovery), Cold Case Files with Blumhouse Television (A&E), The Night that Didn’t End (ID), Could You Survive the Movies with Jake Roper (YouTube), The Lost Gold of WWII (History) among more.

Recently, the company launched the first dedicated Los Angeles based natural history division under the label AMPLE Nature.  The move into blue chip natural history is an organic progression for the premium non-fiction company, who is well known for marrying entertainment with breathtaking visuals.  AMPLE Nature is currently producing a documentary about kangaroos for Netflix and has already secured unannounced programming across multiple networks and platforms.

Previously, Mark served as Senior Vice President of Original Programming for Xbox Entertainment Studios where he was challenged to jump start a digital platform's ambitious move into non-scripted filmmaking. There, he executive produced Xbox's first event series Every Street United, Zak Penn's Atari: Game Over, and Greg Barker's The Thread.

Prior to Xbox, he worked at AMC where he oversaw their first launch into non-scripted programming in addition to advancing their non-fiction slate. He oversaw hit shows Small Town Security, The Pitch, Talking Dead, Comic Book Men, Game of Arms, and developed AMC's first docudrama, Making of The Mob.

Mark began his career at Sundance Channel where he developed a reputation for bold programming choices and strong creative instincts. During his tenure, Ari helped develop hit series Iconoclasts, Architecture School, and Peabody winners, Nimrod Nation and Brick City. He also oversaw their feature documentary slate, producing more than 20 films.

Mark has an MFA in film production from San Francisco State University and was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY.
