Jessica Winchell is an executive producer, developer and showrunner with experience in factual entertainment on all platforms. Prior to joining Magnolia Network as a Director, Development and Content, Jessica was VP of Development for acclaimed producers Lucky 8. At Lucky 8 Jessica oversaw a deep slate of development (and a small team of geniuses) for A & E, Bravo and others and helped develop The Food That Built America for History, one of their top rated series.
On the network side, as EP of Originals at MSNBC/NBC News she oversaw elements of development, production and creative of a new slate of documentary and non-fiction series including Story of Cool with Part 2 Productions.
Jessica has run the production arms of several growing production companies and hundreds of incredible staff in New York and San Francisco. She helped develop and showrun the first three of 13+ seasons of Animal Planet’s successful cop-follow series North Woods Law and Bravo’s Untying the Knot, and dozens of additional hours.
When not obsessing on production life Jessica is updating a log cabin getaway and collecting vintage cookbooks.
