Alan Eyres is Head of Plimsoll USA.

In his role, Eyres is responsible for expanding the company’s US footprint and serves as a chief point of contact for all of Plimsoll’s factual US-based business. Since joining the company, he has executive produced multiple projects including The Devil’s Climb with Alex Honnold (NatGeo), Surviving Pompeii with Tom Hiddelston (NatGeo), Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters (ITV) and Nightmares of Nature with Blumhouse TV.

With dozens of unscripted television and film credits to his name, he spent the last decade as a commissioner for the National Geographic Global Channels, where he oversaw more than 300 unscripted hours a year of series, formats and documentary films created in tandem with some of the world’s greatest storytellers including Darren Aronofsky, James Cameron, as well as Oscar winning documentary filmmakers such as Jimmy Chin and Chai Vasarheyli, TJ Martin and Dan Lindsey and Brett Morgen.

His credits include non-fiction blockbusters for Disney+, including Limitless with Chris Hemsworth, Will Smith’s Welcome to Earth, the Emmy-nominated series The World According to Jeff Goldblum and Beyond Belief with David Blaine. He’s also responsible for long-running series, including mutli-Emmy winning Life Below Zero, Gordon Ramsey: Uncharted, Brain Games, Running Wild with Bear Grylls and Trafficked with Mariana Van Zeller. He was a key team member in the launch of National Geographic Documentary Films, responsible for developing a premium slate for theatrical release, festival circuits and television distribution. Credits include the Emmy-winning LA 92; the Academy Award-nominated and Emmy-winning The Cave; the Critics’ Choice winner and BAFTA Film Award nominee The Rescue; and the Academy and Emmy-winning global phenomenon Free Solo.
