Dr. Donny Jackson is an Executive Producer for This Machine Filmworks. With over 2 decades of experience in the unscripted arena, Jackson is a multiple Emmy award-winning showrunner and NAACP Image Award-winning producer across a variety of outlets, including AppleTV+, CNN, A&E, BET, TV One, Fuse, and most recently, YouTube. Jackson is a member of the Director’s Guild of America.
A doctor of clinical psychology and former professor, Jackson has captained a wide roster of series and specials, including United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell, Inside the Label, Made from Scratch, and Teach: Tony Danza, produced on the award-winning music series Unsung, and executive produced and directed award-winning slam poet Javon Johnson’s lauded one man show, Still., for Playhouse Live.
Jackson also served on 2 unscripted series streaming currently: as showrunner for Dear... (Season 2) for AppleTV+, and as showrunner and one of the directors of Supreme Models for YouTube’s Vogue Magazine channel.
