In a time of austerity measures and audience engagement/retention challenges, conventional wisdom dictates that sticking with the tried-and-true that’s a known draw for your viewers is fiscally prudent. But taking the “big swing” can result in bigger home runs, and building buzz doesn’t always mean breaking the bank.
