Alexandre Marionneau graduated from CELSA (Paris IV – Sorbonne), and worked in a production company dedicated to institutional films.
He then lived in Taiwan and worked a French teacher in an Alliance Française for 3 years. Back in France in 2012, he joined France Télévisions and started developing the digitalization of France 2. He quickly worked as commissioning editor for the Documentary unit of France 2, for the Society strand Infrarouge.
In 2017, he notably created and curated the first season of the strand 25 Shades of Documentary. While wanting to experiment other ways to be of use to the public service, he left France 2 to manage a non-profit organization dedicated to the training of public speech for youngsters in France.
He then joined the Fondation de France, the largest foundation in France, to run a relief program during Covid. He joined Arte in 2021 and was appointed head of international coproductions for the Society and Culture Unit.
