Nicole Vogel serves as the VP, Programming and Development at Lifetime where she is responsible for development, series, and specials for unscripted programming. Most recently, Vogel has been instrumental in Lifetime’s documentary event, The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard, which debuted in January 2024 launching Lifetime to top entertainment cable net on the nights it aired. During her tenure at Lifetime, Vogel has spearheaded projects including both seasons of #TextMeWhenYouGetHome, Phrogging: Hider in My House, Meet, Marry Murder, Cellmate Secrets, and Beyond the Headlines: Black Girl Missing, among others.

Prior to Lifetime, Vogel served as Director of Development at WE tv, an AMC Network, where she developed and executive produced Extreme Love and Love After Lockup, which became WE tv’s top show. Before WE tv, she served as Senior Director of Development at Optomen Productions, and All3Media Company, where she developed series and specials for Discovery Channel, MTV, Investigation Discovery, and Travel Channel, as well as pilots and development projects for networks including Food, A&E, Oxygen, and Fox.

Previously, Vogel served as Manager of Talent Development and Casting for Discovery Networks where she worked across all the networks in the portfolio to discover and develop new talent, cast for both current and new series, and manage current talent. She cast lead talent for such long-running series as Discovery Channel’s Dual Survival and Animal Planet’s Finding Bigfoot, among others.

Vogel began her career at Headline Media Management, a boutique talent representation firm since acquired by ICM, specializing in news, hosting, experts, and sports. While at HMM, she worked as an independent casting director, casting various scripted projects in the NYC area. Vogel graduated Summa Cum Laude from George Washington University Honors Program with a major in Communications and minor in Theater. She has volunteered with a variety of organizations, such as The Ghetto Film School in the Bronx and The Showrunner Mentorship Academy. She is member of the Television Academy.
