Speaker Mikiko Nishiyama
Mikiko Nishiyama is EVP for Global Business and MD for Content Business & Distribution at Nippon Television Network Corporation (Nippon TV), where she comprehensively oversees the company’s international, domestic, and distribution businesses. She is a member of the founding team that established the international business arm in 2012 and held several
positions including MD before her promotion to EVP in June 2022. Prior to serving the company's overseas business interests, she worked in Production, ultimately as Chief Producer, where she handled nationally-acclaimed morning shows, travelogues, and entertainment shows. Nishiyama started her career as a journalist when she joined Nippon TV in 1990 and went on to cover international and political news extensively. She participated in the Reuters Foundation Program at Oxford University in 1994.
