Sydney Clover

Senior Director, Development

National Geographic

Based in New York City, Sydney Clover is the Senior Director of Development for National Geographic. In this role, she works alongside the global production community to develop original premium content for the brand on multiple platforms including National Geographic on Disney +. 

Since joining the Channel in 2019, Clover has developed several projects including Lost Gold, Never Say Never Jeff Jenkins, Life Below Zero: First Alaskans, World of Flavor with Big Moe Cason, and Called to the Wild.

Outside of development, Clover is a part of the leadership team that runs National Geographic’s mentorship program, Field Ready. 

Prior to National Geographic, Clover served as the Director of Development at Discovery Channel in New York where she lead development for the motor team and worked as a producer for the Street Outlaws franchise. This was her second experience at Discovery.  The first was as an Associate Producer in Los Angeles where she played an instrumental role on the team that produced such hits as Naked and Afraid and Shark After Dark.

Before Discovery Channel, Clover spent three years at ITV America where she developed and packaged projects for Leftfield Pictures, Riot and Sirens Media. 

Clover holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University where she majored in Film and Television.
