Brent Hatherill fulfills a critical role on the content strategy team for Investigation Discovery, overseeing the conceptualization and development of ID’s original programming. Since joining the ID team full time in 2016, Hatherill has been responsible for developing projects with A-list names that resonate with ID’s fanbase, from bringing famed novelist James Patterson’s work to life in Murder is Forever to working with self-proclaimed ID Addict Khloé Kardashian to execute produce the upcoming series, Twisted Sisters. Hatherill’s eye for true crime content can be seen in the The Killer Beside Me and in current premieres of Someone You Thought You Knew. Hatherill has also developed the upcoming series’ Lake Erie, Missing Time (wt), and The Night That Didn’t End, as well as numerous yet-to-be announced series for the #1 network for women in all of cable.

Hatherill joined Discovery in 2015 to lead development for American Heroes Channel’s (AHC), notably launching Blood & Fury: America’s Civil War and Hitler: The Definitive Guide, among others. Subsequently joining Destination America, in addition to AHC, Hatherill spearheaded the development of paranormal series, Evil Things. Prior to joining Discovery, Hatherill served as VP of Development for Sirens Media (Killing Fields, Real Housewives of New Jersey), part of ITV and Leftfield Entertainment, where he was responsible for developing, shepherding and selling dozens of projects to various networks, including long-running hits Who the BLEEP Did I Marry? and Nightmare Next Door for Investigation Discovery. Other series developed by Hatherill include Modern Dads and Panic 911 for A&E, Evil Twins for Investigation Discovery, Philly Throttle for Discovery and When Ghosts Attack for Destination America.

Before his six-year tenure at Sirens, Hatherill served as an Associate Producer with JWM Productions and as an assistant to Untitled Entertainment co-founder and talent manager, Jason Weinberg.
