Michelle Byars is the director of unscripted series and live events for TBS and TNT. Most recently she was part of the core TBS team that re-launched its unscripted business with comedies Snoop Dogg Presents The Joker’s Wild and Drop the Mic hosted by Method Man & Hailey Bieber that debuted as the #2 and #3 new cable comedies in 2017. Both highly successful series recently concluded their second season with both shows returning in 2019. In addition to the variety of projects she has in development for TBS and TNT, Byars also oversees the special events and awards properties including the 47th Annual AFI Life Achievement Award honoring Denzel Washington and the 25th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. Currently approaching her seventh year at TBS and TNT (Turner), she previously held positions at Mark Burnett Productions (nka MGM TV) and Bunim-Murray Productions.
