Evan Shapiro is an Emmy and Peabody Award Winner who has produced or created more than 150 television series, specials or documentaries, including Portlandia, Comedy Bang Bang, Please Like Me, Take My Wife, Shrink, Trapped In The Closet, Harmonquest, Laurie Kilmartin’s 45 Jokes About My Dead Dad, HitRecord, Fortitude, Carlos, Bollywood Hero, My Brother My Brother & Me, Brick City, This Film Is Not Yet Rated and more. Under his new banner, eshapTV, he is producing projects with Margaret Cho, Don Roos, Lisa Kudrow, John Leguizamo, Lin Manuel-Miranda, Bill Plympton, Kyle Kinane and more for partners such as E!, Disney, IFC, Showtime, The New York Times and Sony. He is also a professor of Television at New York University, and for eight years has been studying and lecturing about Generational Dynamics and the rising Generations Y and Z.
