James Bolosh is currently Vice President Programming & Development for Lifetime and FYI. In his role, he oversees development and programming for FYI and Lifetime, including the hit docuseries franchise Tiny House Nation, Tiny House Hunting, American Beauty Star and the upcoming My Great Big Live Wedding with David Tutera.
Prior to joining A+E Networks, Bolosh helped launch CNBC’s primetime alternative block of programming and oversaw the Los Angeles development for the network, including the hit business make-over show, The Profit.
Bolosh was previously Vice President of Series Development for MTV Networks, where he developed and managed numerous series for the network including FriendZone.
As Vice President of Programming for HGTV, Bolosh developed and managed the network’s large event and reality series. He also headed the formation of HGTV’s first NYC programming office and developed the top-rated HGTV Design Star, series. During his seven year tenure with the network, Bolosh oversaw many hit series including House Hunters International, The Outdoor Room, Color Splash, Designed to Sell and Cash in the Attic.
Preceding HGTV, Bolosh worked as a Supervising Producer for VH1. There, he created the Driven series of documentaries, profiling such artists as Madonna, Britney Spears and Shania Twain. He also oversaw the long running series Before They Were Rockstars for the network.
Bolosh began his career in television in Nashville where he created the celebrity travel show Hit Trip for CMT.
Bolosh graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Theatre Arts and Communications.
