Tony Nguyen serves as senior vice president of development for Bright Bay Creative, shepherding the company’s development slate and managing transitioning projects from development to production.
Prior to joining Bright Bay in early 2019, Nguyen was vice president of development at Complex Networks where he served as executive producer on such series as Droppin’ Cash, Mostly Football with Martellus Bennett, Rules To This Sh!t, Slobby’s World, That White People Sh!t and Inst@famous. He was also vice president/co-head of development at Screaming Flea Productions, producers of A&E hit Hoarders, where he developed projects for Discovery, Travel Channel, HGTV and DIY, among others.
Previously, Nguyen worked at Paramount Network (formerly Spike TV) from 2009-2015, rising in the ranks to manager of development and working on series including Pros Vs. Joes, Cops, Auction Hunters, 1000 Ways To Die, Tattoo Nightmares and Bar Rescue. Having started his entertainment career at CAA Sports, he brings more than a decade of production and development experience to his role at Bright Bay.
