Todd Weiser is Senior Vice President of Programming and Development for Food Network and Cooking Channel.  He is responsible for developing new series, specials and tentpoles, and overseeing current programming for both of Discovery Inc.’s lifestyle food brands.  Weiser’s shows have included Holiday Baking Championship, Kids Baking Championship, Christmas Cookie Challenge, Valerie’s Home Cooking and the upcoming Girl Scout Cookie Championship and reboot of Food Network Challenge.

Previously, Weiser served as the director of program development for Animal Planet. During his first tenure with Discovery Communications, Weiser rose from development coordinator to director.  Weiser was tasked with growing Animal Planet's audience and expanding the brand in new areas.  He developed top-rated series such as Finding Bigfoot, Gator Boys, Too Cute! and North Woods Law.

Prior to Animal Planet, Weiser worked in film distribution/acquisitions at Picturehouse/Newmarket Films.  He graduated from the University of Michigan with honors, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in both film & video studies, and economics.
