As Head of Acquisitions at Passion Distribution, Sean Wheatley spearheads the company’s content acquisition activity, working closely with Passion Distribution’s production partners - both with independent producers and the Tinopolis group companies. Since joining the company in June 2018 Sean has acquired a range of high-quality unscripted titles from production companies and channel groups in Europe and North America.
Sean joined Passion Distribution from Fremantle Media where he held the role of Senior Acquisitions Manager. During his tenure, he expanded Fremantle’s factual and lifestyle slate, striking deals with a number of UK independent producers and BBC Studios. Prior to Fremantle, Sean was Acquisitions Manager at Sky Vision acquiring specialist factual content. He previously held various production roles at Parthenon Entertainment and Atlantic Productions prior to moving into international distribution.
