Mike Gelles grew up in Los Angeles and got his first taste of the film and TV space at the age of 12, he was instantly hooked. After graduating from California State University, Northridge, Mike first moved into the Unscripted space working for Bill Thompson (Head of Unscripted, Verve Talent and Literary Agency) and Troy Searer (President, NY Post Entertainment) at Critical Content. He was quickly promoted to the Producer with Overall Deal Coordinator assisting in developing shows, pitching projects, producing sizzles, and creating decks. He then moved to PBS (WETA) to produce a
documentary on the Youth Mental Health Crisis. Most recently Mike joined the unscripted team at Verve representing such prolific clients as Colby Gaines (Pawn Stars, American Restoration), Pink Sneakers (Hogan Knows Best, My Big Redneck Family), Lee Metzger (The Voice, Legendary), Sean Travis (Dr. Phil’s House Calls, The Hills), and Justin Booth (The Challenge).
