Carri Twigg is a founding partner at Culture.House. Carri is deeply engaged with content that takes on the urgent cultural questions confronting America and the world. Carri spent over 12 years at every level of politics and government. From 2006 to 2011 she was Political Director for the Ohio Democratic Party and Governor Ted Strickland, overseeing the management of over 100 campaigns at every level of the state elections, and served as a policy aide in the Governor’s office. In 2011 she was National Director of Strategic Outreach at the Democratic National Committee, before joining the Obama re-election campaign where she served as the National Labor Outreach Director, coordinating all activities of labor unions across the country. In 2013, Carri joined the White House and ultimately served as Special Assistant to the President for Labor Outreach and Director of Public Engagement for Vice President Biden. Carri’s work since the White House has focused on challenging our status quo media narratives in political coverage, and conversations about identity. Carri has given a TedX talk on the future of the American Identity, appeared on TV specials on racial bias for MTV, a digital series on discrimination in housing for ATTN, and reprised VH1s iconic “Behind The” franchise, writing and hosting a series looking at issues impacting the 2016 Presidential election titled #BehindTheVote. She has also appeared on various projects for VH1, Complex, Refinery29, AwesomenessTV, The Young Turks, and NowThis.
