James DuBose is an innovative visionary and thought-leader known for producing culture-shaping content and sharing the voice and lived experiences of Black people around the globe.  DuBose built his career anchored in four fundamental pillars: inspire, educate, uplift, and entertain black audiences.

DuBose is a North Carolina native, and he attributes his experiences growing up in his community as largely shaping the hard-working individual he is today. With over two decades of entertainment experience, DuBose has risen through the ranks and currently serves as the General Manager and Head of Programming for FOX SOUL — the Black community’s premiere free streaming platform serving unapologetically Black, consumable by all entertainment 365 days a year. Since launching in 2020, under his stewardship, FOX SOUL has established itself at the epicenter of all-things Black culture. In the past year, DuBose and team have amassed an audience of 45 million as a result of growing a relevant, compelling library of original content, including specials The Making of a Woman: The Concert with Grammy nominated R&B/Soul singer-songwriter, Syleena Johnson; From Fatherless to Fatherhood, hosted by Dr. Sean McMillan, in addition to tentpole series including: Cocktails with Queens, with Claudia Jordan, Lisa Raye McCoy, Vivica A. Fox, and Syleena Johnson; Hollywood Unlocked with Jason Lee Uncensored; TEA-G-I-F with Claudia Jordan, Al Reynolds, and Funky Dineva; and FOX SOUL’s Black Report, to name a few.

DuBose has built an impressive catalogue of assets known for garnering record-breaking television network numbers. He executive produced syndicated entertainment shows on Dish Nation, E! Networks (WAGS Atlanta), as well as hit projects under his DuBose Entertainment banner such as: Comic View: One Mic Stand with Kevin Hart, Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is, Monica: Still Standing, Tiny and Toya, Toya: A Family Affair, Trey Songz: My Moment, The Michael Vick Project, and Hell Date, among others. DuBose has also started to take his innate storytelling and creative ability to the theater and currently has films in development with Grindstone Entertainment/Lionsgate.

Most importantly, DuBose is most proud of his role as a Black Executive in entertainment as well as mentor where he uplifts and supports the economic empowerment of Black communities. He also advocates for the awareness and support for better mental health, speaking openly about his challenges and journey.
