As Head of Digital for Latino-owned entertainment company Fuse Media, Patrick Courtney oversees operations of the company’s streaming division with CEO Mike Roggero. In this role, he leads strategy for the company’s digital distribution, social media, website and streaming apps, as well as newly launched free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) brands - Fuse Beat, Fuse Backstage and Fuse Sweat - and subscription streaming brand Fuse+, all with the objective of delivering new opportunities to reach Fuse’s young and diverse audience.
Additionally, Courtney is responsible for business development seeking new domestic and international revenue opportunities for the company. Most recently, Courtney oversaw the expansion of Fuse Media into the global market with the launch of Fuse Beat in the UK. Fuse Media’s digital operations teams also report directly to Courtney.
Prior to joining Fuse Media, Courtney served as SVP programming and marketing strategy for the digital media company Above Average (founded by Lorne Michaels' Broadway Video, and backed by Turner and Conde Nast) where he had oversight of programming, audience development, distribution and marketing programs. Previously he served as VP of client services at Affinitive leading digital marketing campaigns for General Motors, Kia, Ubisoft, JetBlue and Random House. He also led Forbes’ audience development team and was responsible for the growth of its video network. Courtney began his career at Special Ops Media (acquired by DigitasLBi), managing online marketing and publicity for Universal Studios Home Entertainment.
