Grant Mansfield is the CEO and Founder of Plimsoll Productions.

Plimsoll is one of the largest independent television production companies in the UK.  Its BAFTA, Academy and Emmy Award-winning team specialize in wildlife, documentary, live and factual entertainment shows and it is a global leader in natural-history programs. Since the business was founded in 2013, Plimsoll has grown rapidly with a total workforce of more than 400 across its offices in Los Angeles, Bristol and Cardiff. It is behind more than 50 series, 14 live shows and seven films, including the Emmy-nominated Hostile Planet with Bear Grylls (National Geographic), Night on Earth (Netflix), Tiny World (Apple TV+), Handmade: Good with Wood (Channel 4), Yellowstone Live (National Geographic), On the Edge with Alex Honnold (Disney+), Rescue Dog to Super Dog (Channel 4), Britain’s Parking Hell (Channel 5), The Women of 9/11 (ABC), Malika the Lion Queen (FOX),  Life at the Extreme (ITV) and Sit Baby Sit (Channel 4), among many more.

 The company distributes to more than 50 countries worldwide through Magnify Media, a company it fully acquired earlier this year. Today, its content is broadcast across more than 70 international territories. In 2019, Plimsoll formed a partnership with Lloyds Development Capital (LDC), a deal valuing the company at over $100 million. 

 Before launching the company, Mansfield spent three years in Los Angeles as CEO of Zodiak USA where his credits included Secret Millionaire, Celebrity Wife Swap, Hardcore Pawn, Lizard Lick Towing and Killer Karaoke. Prior, as managing Director of RDF, based in London, credits included Ladette to Lady, Holiday Showdown, Oz and James Big Wine Adventure, Gene Simmons Rock School and Dickinson’s Real Deal. 

 Before that, as Head of Programmes at Granada TV, Mansfield was responsible for the launch of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.  He began his career at the BBC, first as a TV news reporter and later as the creator and producer of some of the corporation’s most popular documentary series, including Driving School and the long running Vets in Practice.
