Creative Director of FirstLookTV in the UK, Will Hanrahan has show-run Entertainment, Factual Entertainment and Comedy formats for the UK market alongside a raft of Specialist Factual and and Investigative brands for the U.S. cable and digital channels. Having spent 20 years working for or supplying the BBC and ITV, he has more recently specialised in driving International formats and programming from the UK, exporting his company's content to over 70 territories. FirstLook has worked collaboratively with A&E International, AMC and Discovery both in the US and the UK on 100 hours of content which was tailored to transfer to Networks throughout the world. He has originated format-led, factual programming for global channels, with FirstLook launching two new brands in the last year specifically aimed for Svod and global cable use rather than targeting single markets. Recognising changing revenue realities, Hanrahan actively seeks to work to support the needs of broadcasters and new platforms.
Will was part of the UK board of PACT during that organisation's negotiation of new terms of trade for British companies so helping release rights to producers and sees that freedom as an opportunity for US Producers to team-up with UK Producers enabling greater American producer control of IP and Creative direction.
