Jessica Winchell is an executive, executive producer, developer and showrunner with experience in factual entertainment in linear and digital worlds. Having been on all sides of production has made her an intuitive exec that executes at every level. 

At growing media company OZY, Jessica created with a lean team to create mountains of digital content for social, YouTube and linear presentation leveraging the sites excellent journalistic IP. 

Previously, as VP of Development for acclaimed producers Lucky 8, Jessica oversaw a deep slate of content (and small team of geniuses) for A & E, History, Bravo and others. 

On the network side, as EP of Originals (long form) at MSNBC she oversaw elements of development, production and creative of a new slate of documentary and non-fiction series including Story of Cool w/Part 2 Productions. Jessica joined MSNBC after a three-year stint as EP of Originals at The Weather Channel in which she oversaw both the creative and production management of the emerging division with series in varied genre. These series came together to present nine quarters of YOY growth and increased TSV. Jessica also developed & executive produced the cross-platform pop science series 3 Scientists Walk Into a Bar w/ Lucky 8 to serve weather.com, Facebook, live, and linear. 

Jessica has also run the production arms of several growing production companies and hundreds of incredible staff in New York and San Francisco – developing and running new series as well as advising on financial restructuring of growing units. She helped develop and run the first three seasons of Animal Planet’s successful cop-follow series North Woods Law and Bravo’s Untying the Knot, and dozens of additional hours. She's also a spirited member of the production community and a hobbyist at helping her friends prod co's grow.
