Hayden K. Meyer

Agency Partner, EVP, Head of Alternative & Factual Programming, Senior Agent

APA

Hayden K. Meyer is a Partner, Executive Vice President and the Head of Alternative & Factual Programming at APA, one of the largest diversified and privately-owned talent agencies in the industry with offices in Los Angeles, Nashville, Atlanta, New York, Toronto and London.

Founded in 1962 by former associates of the legendary MCA, today’s APA is a “global boutique” focused exclusively on the creative and financial interests of their clients (who include award-winning writers, producers, directors, actors, musicians, comedians, branded personalities, intellectual property owners, production companies and key physical production personnel).  Since joining APA in 2006, Meyer has led the growth of its AFP Department into a market leader distinguished by a unique business model that promotes unparalleled teamwork and premium levels of packaging and staffing services across all genres of alternative and factual programming.

Meyer and his colleagues have been instrumental in the sales of scores of hit series, including Blown Away (Netflix), Dance Moms (Lifetime), Dr. Pimple Popper (TLC), Evil Lives Here (ID), Kids Say The Darndest Things (CBS), Leah Remini: Scientology And The Aftermath (A&E), The Deed (CNBC), The Joker's Wild (TBS), This Week At The Comedy Cellar (Comedy Central) and Unidentified: Inside America's Ufo Investogation (History).  In addition, the Department is the industry's preferred supplier of key staff and talent for top-rated alternative alternative and factual programs, including Gordon Ramsey: Uncharted (National Geographic), Let's Make A Deal (CBS), Nailed It! (Netflix), Penn & Teller: Fool Us (CW), People Magazine Investigates (ID), So You Think You Can Dance (FOX), The $100,000 Pyramid (ABC), The Dead Files (Trvl), Undercover Billionaire (Discovery) and Wife Swap (Paramount).  Furthermore, APA's incomparable approach to “institutional client representation” generates opportunities for AFP Department clients in other areas of commercial entertainment, including scripted film, television and theatre, publishing, podcasting, live touring and endorsements.

Meyer began his entertainment industry career in freelance production before segueing to the agency business.  Raised in South Florida, he graduated from Northwestern University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications.  During his personal hours Meyer serves on the Friends Board of Saban Community Clinic (for which he co-founded the annual fundraiser, LET’S GET REAL).  He resides with his wife and five children in Woodland Hills.
