Jeff Gaspin

Gaspin is an accomplished and highly-respected executive with over 30 years of experience in all aspects of the entertainment business. Gaspin most recently served as President of Gaspin Media, a production company with credits including Netflix’s NAACP Image Award-winning Rhythm & Flow; Emmy-nominated Netflix hit The Tinder Swindler; and The First Lady, among others. Prior to forming Gaspin Media, Gaspin was Chairman of NBC Universal Television Entertainment from 2009 through 2011. In this role, he oversaw all business, creative and distribution aspects of NBC Universal’s entertainment television portfolio. As Chairman, he was instrumental in the acquisition of The Voice; oversaw several cable networks, including USA Network, Syfy, Bravo, and Oxygen; and led television production companies Universal Media Studios (House, 30 Rock, Law & Order: SVU) and Universal Cable Productions (White Collar, Psych). He served in a number of leadership positions across two stints at NBC Universal, including President & COO, NBC Universal Television Group; President of Bravo, overseeing Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and Project Runway; and Vice President of Programming and Development at NBC News, where he developed news magazine Dateline. Gaspin made a name for himself as a creative executive at VH1, serving as Executive Vice President, Programming and Production. He created the iconic Behind the Music and was twice Emmy-nominated for his work. Gaspin holds an M.B.A. in Strategic Planning from the New York University Graduate School of Business Administration and a B.A. from the State University of New York at Binghamton.
