Merrill Hendrickson is Vice President, Unscripted Programming & Development, NBC.
In this role, Hendrickson oversees programming for NBC’s slate of unscripted competition, social experiment, and game show formats. Current series under her purview include Emmy Award winner The Voice as well as a diverse slate of projects in various stages of development.
Throughout her career, she has developed and launched hit formats across a variety of genres including the NBC revival of The Weakest Link, Songland, Hollywood Game Night and Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge. Additional projects include Top Chef: Family Style for Peacock and Barmageddon for USA Network. She has collaborated with iconic talent including Blake Shelton, Carson Daly, John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, Snoop Dogg, Jane Lynch, Sean Hayes and many more.
A classically trained vocalist, Merrill has always been passionate about entertainment. From her high school summers spent at the renowned Stagedoor Manor performing arts training center in NY to her graduation from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Music and Business, her passion for the arts has remained steadfast. Merrill is proud to have started her career at NBCU in 2013, participating in the prestigious NBC East Coast Page Program before moving to LA to join the Unscripted Department.
